From the local council offices (Gemeindeamt) we take the promenade path at the underground car park and follow this to the Gaisberg bridge, here you cross the Aschauer Straße and continue hiking along the left bank of the river through the forest to the bridge, Skirast junction, and then continue to the right along the river. Cross the main road one last time and after a slight ascent you come directly into the centre of Aschau. Continue past the Cafe Hochland and the Oberlandhütte to the Ebenau car park. We follow the asphalt road No. 16 into the valley. Past the Falkenstein we hike to the Hintenbachalm and the Kasplatzl cheese dairy where you can taste the freshly produced Alpine cheese and other specialities. We follow the road to the turn-off for the Labalm, where we leave the asphalt path and continue straight ahead along the forest road to the Stallbachgrundalm (Hengstalm). From here, trail No. 16 leads us past the Stockeralm and Angereralm to a junction, where a narrow trail leads to the Labalm. From the Labalm we follow the road back out of the valley to Aschau. Before arriving at our starting point, we have the opportunity to make a detour to the waterfall or the Kneipp facility. To shorten the hike, you can also take the car or bus to Aschau - Ebenau car park.
