Toboggan / Hiking trail to the Brixenbachalm

A real insider tip is the Brixenbachweg in Brixen im Thale: a beautiful winter hiking trail, freshly groomed every day, along the wildly romantic Brixenbach stream, which leads directly to the rustic Brixenbachalm. Here time stands still. Typical Tyrolean specialities are still cooked on the wood-burning stove, which fills the hut with a pleasant warmth. The ascent is easy and can be done in a relatively short time.  The 3.5 km long winter hiking trail is very popular with locals and guests and is ideal for tobogganing on your return journey. If you don't have a toboggan, you can borrow one from the hosts of the Brixenbachalm for a small rental fee.  Open Wednesday to Sunday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
