Snow Shoe Hiking on the sunny plateau of Westendorf

You can begin this snow shoe hike from the car park at the Alpenrosenbahn gondola station. The cross-country ski trails provide useful guidance on this tour!
Initially, follow the trail in the direction of the golf course, making a small detour to the nearby hilltop to your left!  From here enjoy the beautiful view of Westendorf and of the Höhe Salve. 
“Slide” down the slope at the end of this hill and cross the Winter hiking route at the beehives.  Then follow the forest path until you promptly arrive at a large snow-covered meadow above the driving range.  We can see the cross-country ski trail again on the driving range, which we follow, and at the Windau Lounge keep to the left and wander onto the golf course in the direction of the Aunerhof.  The Aunerhof is the ideal place to drop in for some refreshements!  Afterwards, if you’re in the mood for more, you can follow the cross-country ski trail around the “Aunerplateau” and “stomp” a wonderful loop.
The return to Westendorf is either the same route back or alternatively walk along the Winter hiking route at the “Rainbichlhof” once again in the direction of the Windau Lounge – Westendorf.
