Route 227: via Glantersberg to Kelchsau

We start this moderately difficult tour at the tourist office in Westendorf. Va the Briental cycle path and a short descent we get to Hopfgarten. Directly next to the Neuschmid sawmill the ascent to Glantersberg starts on the left-hand side. Always on asphalt, this tour is also perfectly suited for racing cyclists. At first we ride uphill through a shady forest and later, on the upper part,  there are green meadows next to the path. We have reached the highest part of our tour at 943m above sea level. Fro here we have a good view of the Penningberg opposite as well as of Kelchsau. After a speedy descent we are just before the Kelchsau village area and we have a long ride out of the valley to Hopfgarten ahead of us. Via the Windau valley and the ascent via the Lender road we finally get back to Westendorf.
