From Kirchberg village centre to Reith. 400 m after the Reith’s football pitch, turn onto the Astbergweg (route). From there (755m) it’s about 425 metres of altitude on a quiet, narrow road with an even gradient (12%) in serpentine bends up the Astberg (1,180m). Keep left at two distinctive junctions ("Hollenauer Kreuz", "Sonnenlift"). Beautiful farms. Wonderful views of Kitzbühel’s notable mountains: the nearby Wilder Kaiser, the Kitzbüheler Horn, the Hahnenkamm and the Großer Rettenstein. At the highest point of the pass - mountain farm "Kathen" - short easy gravel path. Winding and rapid descent to the mountain village of Ellmau (820m). Via the side road on the right side of the valley continue to Going to the Stangelwirt hotel. From there cycle in the direction of Reith. Before the bridge at Gasthof Reinache, take the Astbergweg and cycle across the small Astberg to Reith. In the village centre turn left to the Hoher Pointner and passing the farms "Waching", "Kleinleihen" and "Rummeln", to Oberndorf. World-class panorama! Cross to the other side of the valley at “Rass and Dorner” and follow the Römerweg to Kitzbühel and back to Kirchberg.
