A whole day of fun for young and old. How? It's simple: this tour is not just a bike tour. The experience begins before you even get on your mountain bike. First, the gondola takes you and your family from Brixen im Thale up to Hochbrixen - 500 metres of altitude that fly by and are accompanied by fantastic views. Once at the top, leave the picturesque Filzalm Lake to the left and head for the highlight of the day: the Hexenwasser. This is a cool "amusement park" for kids, but it offers much more than swings, slides and roller coasters. Here, all kinds of knowledge about animals, physical phenomena or cultural peculiarities is imparted in a smart way. And the younger visitors really enjoy it. Be sure to plan enough time for the Hexenwasser (witches' water) and don't forget your swimsuits, because there’s plenty of splashing here! On the way back, the Filzalm Lake mountain experience awaits you. Here you have another opportunity to swim and play.
Of course, you can return to the valley in the gondola back down to Brixen. However, you can also rock the SunTrail as a crowning finale. First you cycle downhill, past the mountain inn, Berggasthof Nieding, on a quiet road that leads down into the valley. To the left behind the mountain inn, the road leads uphill to the SunTrail, about 200 metres in altitude. Pedal along the Gsngweg to the start of the SunTrail. The easy SunTrail runs almost into the valley and practically spits you out at the foot of Brixen. By the way, this tour describes the long version including the Sun Trail.
