Forest and meadow hike to the Gauxerbauer

From the centre of the village, walk in the direction of the church, passing the Bräuwirt and into the Möselgasse where there’s a view of the Großer Rettenstein directly in front of you. At Haus Christian keep to the left and after a few metres you pass the traditional farms Untertann and Obertann. After these farms follow the farm track, an easy forest hike and eventually onto an open meadow, which offers a wonderful view of Kirchberg and its surroundings. Passing the little chapel, the path descends to the Brandseitgraben. After crossing the hamlet of Wötzing,  walk along the forest edge to the bathing lake and then onwards until you reach the centre of Kirchberg.

Tip: At the bridge along the Brandseitgraben a culinary detour to the Stauchdachstub'n is highly recommended.
