The entry points for the cross-country skiing trails in the direction of "Au" are either in the district "Unterdorf" at the Untermanharthof or in the Bergliftstraße, behind the Hotel Schermer or at the Westendorf gondola station.
The trails lead across the beautifully undulating, fairly flat, open terrain of Westendorf's sunny plateau. Passing through the hamlets of the Unterdorf, Ried or Holzham you reach the golf course area, continuing on to the open areas of the hamlet, Au. These trails are classified as "blue", i.e. easy.
However, if you want to challenge your skills and fitness, you can also tackle the loop to the campsite (red - medium difficulty).
The other entry point to the cross-country skiing network is in the Schulgasse (car park at the beginners' slope) in the direction of Bichling. This trail leads to Brixen and then onwards to Kirchberg. This is also classified as blue and also leads across undulating, predominantly flat terrain.
In Brixen you have the option of taking the gondola up to Hochbrixen and trying out the high-altitude trail there.
The bus journey from/to Brixen or Kirchberg is free with the guest card!
Parking spaces are available at the gondola station, in the village centre, at the golf course or in the Au district.
