Bärstättalm-Gaisberg valley lift station

This hike begins at the Gaisberg lift valley station. We walk a short distance along the river in the direction of Aschau as far as the “Seislboden”.
There, we turn right and follow the road, passing the Manharthof farm as far as a barrier.  From this point on the forest road begins which is only accessible for authorised motorists.
We follow the route through the forest, enjoying the views of Kirchberg and the surrounding mountains.  After some time we arrive at a junction where we turn to the right and follow the signs to the Bärstättalm.
From here it’s possible to continue and hike to the summit.
The return route can be either the same route or alternatively continue clockwise (45 mins approx.) to the Gaisberg mountain-top station and descend with the lift to the valley.  From the mountain-top station, another variation on this tour is to continue the route to the valley on foot.
