Into the mountains on a mountain bike, E-bike or E-mountain bike - that is a dream of so many people. Thanks to the countless, attractively designed cycle routes and singletrails, along with the convenient assistance with the ascent via the cable cars, make this possible for almost every bike fan. In spite of that you can bring some riding skills and proficiencies with you to the mountains to make your adventure "mountain tour" safe. An extensive range of workshops and courses in Brixental valley will help you achieve these goals for yourself. Qualified bike guides use their expertise to provide you with lots of tips and tricks about mountain biking, making it fun too. And one or other of the guides might even let you in on their very own insider tips.

Riding technique training for berginners and e-biker

Pedagogically trained and experienced trainers are dedicated to your driving safety!

In 2x2 hours, the trainers from the Bike Academy will bring you step by step to your goal:
More balance in slow driving situations, faster and more controlled braking, climbing and dismounting off-road, top traction in curves and ultimately safe and joyful descent on mountain roads.

At the beginning of the course, we also take care of your bike settings such as air pressure, cockpit and saddle height.

After two hours of practice, we allow ourselves a lunch break in the Hotel Klausen restaurant before we fine-tune our bike-handling skills in the second half of the course.

Experience the group dynamics in a professionally guided course in our top practice area!
In the four intensive training hours, we dedicate ourselves to the most important skills for driving on trails and take care of your balance skills, braking technique and cornering technique. With the basic MTB behavior, we convey the skills to be safer on the trail for longer: steps, roots, stones and tight curves can be mastered with a seesaw, the wrong rabbit and solid hairpin bend technique.
Even after the course, you can benefit from the knowledge imparted for a long time.
After two hours we take a lunch break and meet the beginners to recharge their batteries.

Fresh air, exercise and of course lots of fun!
With mountain biking, children are encouraged to exercise and coordinate; they train endurance and balance, improve their ability to concentrate and, at the same time, strengthen their self-confidence.

Our MTB training for children by professional trainers from the Bikeacadmey Kurt Exenberger with technical units and small tours in the area is offered in two performance groups. The children playfully learn the basic techniques for safe biking on the specially built practice area of ​​the Skill & Bike Area at the parking lot of the SkiWelt cable car in Brixen.

The "classic" in the Kitzbühel Alps: relaxing tour through the Spertental conservation area with a gentle ascent to the Aschauer Höhenweg. The descent is along the gravel road to the Gauxer Stadl with a wonderful view of the Wilder Kaiser.

After a gentle start, you soon approach the ascent - 900 metres in altitude lie ahead. At the Hahnenkamm an interesting guided tour to the start house of the famous downhill run and the mousetrap "Mausefalle" awaits you, naturally with a wonderful panorama. Enjoy the opportunity for a break then before the flow down the trail for about 8 km to Kitzbühel. Maximum fun is guaranteed!

Bike & Hike to the Brechhorn

Take the eBike to the Brechhornhaus, from where you can approach the summit of the Brechhorn on foot. At the top of the summit, you have a fantastic all-round view of the entire Kitzbühel Alps and the Hohe Tauern. After the descent enjoy a snack at the Brechhornhaus. In the immediate vicinity of the Brechhornhaus is the idyllic Kreuzjöchl Lake, which is well worth a short detour.

Cycle across Kirchberg's Sonnberg up to the Rauhen Kopf which offers a wonderful panoramic view of the Spertental valley and the magnificent Großer Rettenstein. Pass the Obingalm pastures and continue onto the Gsengweg, which leads you to the entrance of Brixnen's SunTrail (level of difficulty S1). Return to Kirchberg via the Brixental cycle path.

Harschbichl Tour & Trail

Cycle comfortably along the bike path to St. Johann in Tirol. Here it continues uphill on the Harschbichl to the Angerer Alm, where you stop for lunch (approx. 2 hours / 18 km / 650 m ascent). The terrace offers a wonderful view of the Wilder Kaiser, as well as, the Loferer and Leogang mountains. The route takes you back into the valley via the flowing Harschbichl trail. If you feel like it, you can also take a short detour to the Schlossberg Lake - a welcome cooling off on hot days!

Register for courses

Registration for courses is to be made by 5.00 pm the day before at the latest in one of the local tourist offices, at Intersport Kitzsport (Kirchberg) or Intersport Gschwantler (Brixen). Great value offers are available when you make your registration and pay in cash. Registration is binding. (Registration cut-off for the Monday programme is Sunday, by 11.30 am at the latest in the tourist offices in Kirchberg or Westendorf).

Wholly in keeping with the maxim "Anyone can ride a bike" the region offers numerous themed camps for beginners and for those at an advanced level. For instance, children, ladies and beginners don’t just get valuable tips & tricks about mountain biking in the mountains and on the trails in a wide variety of workshop, they also get to explore the wonderful Kitzbühel Alps with experienced trainers and guides.
