Hiking tour to the ice cave
Guided day hike to the only ice cave in Tyrol (demanding tour!)
By bus or car from Wörgl via Angath to Angerberg. Meet our tour guide at the parking lot of the hotel Kraftquelle Schlossblick (bus stop “Franzlerbrücke”).
Today we will hike along one of the 33 stages of the long-distance trail Adlerweg (Eagle Walk). In northern direction on marked trails up to the viewing platform “Adlerhorst” with its great carvings and a fantastic view of the lower Inn Valley and the Kitzbühel Alps.
In July and August we tour the unique “Hundsalm ice & stalactite cave” accompanied by an experienced cave guide.
This demanding tour of medium difficulty offers no stops for a bite to eat. Bring along your own snack and enjoy it under the open sky.
Meeting place: 8:30 a.m. Hotel Kraftquelle Schlossblick, Embach 1 / bus from Hopfgarten Berglift to Wörgl station dep. 7:19 a.m. arr. 7:41 a.m., connection Angerberg dep.7:50 a.m., arr. 8:08 a.m.
Duration: ca. 8 hours / incl. visit of the ice cave: ca. 9 hours
Equipment: ankle-high hiking boots or sturdy mountaineering boots, sunscreen and rainwear, maybe gloves, snack & water
