The "Gumpau Runningtrail" Runningtrail 12

Departing from Westendorf’s village centre for the Gumpau runningtrail in the Windau valley with beautiful views and nice runningtrails.  Continuous, steady ascent until you eventually reach the summit of the Brechhorn.   From here enjoy the views, especially of the Hohe Tauern mountain range which is really close at this point.  The return route runs along the mountain ridge, one of the most beautiful runningtrails in the Brixen valley, as far as the Brechhornhaus mountain restaurant and onwards to the Alpenrosenbahn mountain-top lift station.  Descend to the valley from here with the gondola.
